Como's mix of classic brick-and-tile homes and newer apartments can really play havoc with your TV signal. Those low-pitched roofs and all the big trees around the river often block the line-of-sight to the transmitters. We see a lot of pixilation and dropouts, especially in the pockets down near the freeway. We'll sort you out with the right antenna for your place, whether it's a heritage-style install or getting a solid signal into your unit. No more missing the footy because of a dodgy picture.
Real proof, not marketing fluff

Full range of antenna and home entertainment services. Depending on the week, it'll be me or one of my local blokes.

Como might be suburban, but between the hills and the river, some streets get shocking fixed-line internet. Starlink changes the game here. We're authorised installers, so we can get you set up fast. We handle the whole job – finding the perfect spot on your roof or yard for a clear northern sky view, running the cable neatly, and getting you online. Perfect for working from home by the river or streaming without buffering.
If your picture is breaking up, channels are dropping, or you've lost reception completely, the first job is to find out why — not to sell you a new antenna. A lot of Como repairs come back to a corroded F-connector at the antenna head, a cable that's perished in the WA sun, a masthead amplifier that's died, or a wall plate that's pulled loose. We'll test the signal at the antenna, at the wall plate, and at the TV, tell you whether it's a straightforward fix or whether the antenna is genuinely past it, and only recommend replacement when repair won't hold. Sky Signal, fully insured, and the quote is the price.
A tidy wall mount is half mount, half cable management. We supply and fit the right bracket for the TV (fixed, tilt, or full-motion), mount into stud or masonry as the wall requires, and hide the cables in-wall where the wall type allows or in a paintable conduit where it doesn't. Power point relocation, HDMI run from a cabinet to the TV, and soundbar wiring all get handled in the same visit so you're not booking three trades.
Home theatre in Como ranges from a soundbar-and-sub upgrade in a unit lounge to a full 5.1 or 7.1 fit-out in a riverside home. We handle in-wall and in-ceiling speaker runs, AV receiver setup, HDMI matrix and CEC behaviour so the right remote actually turns the right thing on, and we tune the room rather than just plugging it in. If you're mid-renovation, we'll come through during the rough-in stage and pre-wire so finished walls stay finished.
Starlink Mini suits a lot of Como — particularly the unit blocks off Preston Street and the apartment stock near the foreshore where drilling the roof isn't on the table. We mount Mini on a balcony rail, an existing pole, or a non-penetrating base that leaves no marks for renters, run the cable in through a tidy entry, and have you online the same visit. If you're in a strata building we'll walk you through what the strata manager normally signs off on before we book.
A full Starlink Kit install in a Como home usually means a roof or eave mount with a clean cable run down the cavity, into a wall plate, and the router positioned for whole-house coverage rather than dumped next to the entry point. We handle the Gen 3 hardware, mesh extensions if the home is long or has thick internal walls, and cable in hardwired drops for TVs or workstations where wireless won't cut it.
The mount decision matters more than the dish itself. On Como's older brick-and-tile homes the eave is often the cleanest answer; on newer builds with metal roofing we'll usually look at a ridge or non-penetrating mount; on units it's almost always balcony or wall bracket. We don't drill until we've checked sky-view from the actual proposed spot — the foreshore tree canopy and the taller buildings around the Canning Bridge end can ruin a position that looked fine on paper.

Como? Depends on the week — sometimes I'll do it myself, sometimes one of the local blokes who helps me out.
