Why Pixelation Happens
Pixelation, picture freezing, channels dropping in and out — these are nearly always signal level or signal quality problems, not the TV. The fix depends on what's actually wrong.
Could be the antenna's pointing the wrong way, could be a corroded connector, could be too many splitters, could be a marginal masthead amp dying slowly. I test before I sell. If it's a $2 connector, I tell you. If you genuinely need a new amplifier or distribution system, I show you why on the meter.
Common Blackspot Causes
Bad reception isn't always one thing — here's what I usually find.
Marginal Signal
In fringe areas — Perth hills, far-north suburbs, deep South West valleys.
Too Many Splitters
Signal too weak after splitting to multiple TV points.
Failing Masthead Amp
Old or dying masthead amplifier degrading signal quality.
Corroded Connectors
