The usual suspects
Corroded connections — coastal air eats antenna fittings. Number one cause in WA.
Storm-shifted antenna — a few degrees off and half your channels vanish.

What I do about it
I test the actual signal at the antenna, the splitter and the wall point with a proper meter, find the real fault, and give you a fixed price before touching anything. If it's a two-minute retune, that's what you'll pay for — not a new antenna you didn't need.
